Kent McBride - Chief Movement Starter, Founder and Host of Goodonomics Radio

Kent is Chief Movement Starter, Founder and Host of Goodonomics Radio, an Internet radio station dedicated to ‘inspiring an epidemic of good ” within the small-to-medium-sized business world. He is also currently authoring a business book titled  Goodonomics 101 (scheduled for publication in fall of 2011) and is working with another Internet start-up, a merchant-focused daily deal site called DealPepper.

Late in the last century, Kent ran a pilot commercial organic micro-farm project that combined raised many cutting-edge gardening technologies including the use of sound and foliar-feeding of plants and hosted an environmental radio show on public radio.

As a businessman for 30 years, first in the restaurant/hotel industry, then corporate training and sales and marketing and finally the Internet,  he has had thousands of employees, owned and partnered in several successful and some "not-so-successful" businesses, so he understand the what "works" and what doesn't work in business.

And "doing good" in business, in a variety of ways, really works!

As Kent was interviewing businesses for a book on Cause Marketing that he was writing, (The Cause Marketing Factor), Kent discovered there were more businesses who were growing successful businesses by "doing good" other than Cause Marketing than were actually doing Cause Marketing.

He decided to write Doing Great by Doing Good, start Doing Great by Doing Good Radio, and create the Doing Great by Doing Good 101 seminar to tell the stories of those businesses who are "Doing Great by Doing Good" and inspire an "epidemic of good" in the business community.
